DBI is a knowledge centre for fire technology and fire prevention and consequently organises many courses and seminars. Our training activities are designed to disseminate our knowledge to people who work with fire and safety on a daily basis. Our course participants are people working with fire safety, building approvals, consultancy or other areas where decisions affecting fire safety and prevention are made.
Our courses include training in:
- Construction techniques and fire prevention
- Installations and fires
- Fire prevention systems
- Elementary fire fighting
- First aid
- Hot work procedures.
Our course programme is designed to cover all levels of complexity, ranging from basic fire technology to specialised knowledge. It includes a joint European diploma programme in fire technology, based on the Con-federation of Fire Prevention Associations training programme. In addition to open courses, we also offer company courses and customised courses. All our instructors are experts in their field and possess a high level of technical expertise.
DBI also runs a publishing department that issues a number of fire prevention and safety publications, as well as signage.
