Each individual use of the DBI logo shall be subject to prior agreement with DBI.
No changes to the logo as to colour and shape will be allowed (proportional scaling will, however, be allowed). No insertion or addition of other graphic elements will be allowed.
The DBI logo can only be used in contexts where the client’s own name or logo also appears and it shall in no way be more prominent than these.
The labelling shall be applied in such a way that there can be no misunderstanding as to who the certificate owner is or what is covered by the certification.
In the event of a recall or termination of the certification constituting the basis for the permission to use the DBI logo, all applications of the logo shall immediately be discontinued.
It shall not be allowed to use the DBI logo in any misleading or deceptive advertising activity – e.g. suggesting that DBI emphasizes one manufacturer rather than others, or suggesting DBI to be warranting their products. Rather, reference can be made to certificates of approval obtained by the customer.
It shall not be allowed to use the DBI logo for purposes, activities or arrangements incompatible with DBI. Under no circumstances can the logo be reproduced for illegal purposes or for purposes contrary to public morality.
The user shall not acquire and will have no title to the logo constituting the subject matter for rights of use.
The user cannot register or apply for registration of any trademark or name comprising the said logo or which displays similarities to the logo in such degrees that it may give rise to misrepresentation or confusion.
DBI shall not be held responsible for any loss or damage which, directly or indirectly, might arise from this permission.
DBI shall not be held responsible to third parties in connection with claims arising from the user’s application of this logo – claims arisen due to his actions or neglect.
DBI may, at their own discretion and if it is deemed expedient, take any further action towards users not conforming to the codes herein.
