New EU regulations related to testing and certification of fire doors

10 July 2015 the harmonization of the European product standard for fire doors was finally concluded and published.

The new door standard (EN16034) will be effective as of 1 November 2016; i.e. CE marking of fire doors may commence. However, a transition period of three years has been made so that not until 1 November 2019 non-CE marked fire doors cannot be sold within the EU.

The new product standard is important to you as a door manufacturer, as you need to ensure that your fire doors are all CE marked according to the new EU standard.

Below you will find all relevant info that can help you understand the implications. It describes what you need to/should do in order to continuously be able to sell fire doors on the European market.
The sooner you get started, the sooner you will be able to offer competitive products.
